Apprentice - 8 Moons
Petite, short furred red on blue tabby with pale green eyes.
It had been a couple of moons since Tinypaw had become an apprentice of EmberClan, and life had so far been nothing more than absolute bliss. Her belly - round and well fed - raised to the sun, the petite tabby licked her forepaws as she lay belly up, engrossed in cleanup duty after her third lorikeet of the day. It seemed some warriors had found a group of late, and the prey pile had been stuffed with those. The way the apprentice saw it, she was doing her part. After all, what were those lorikeets brought over for if not feasting on? She was merely preventing them from going bad, that's all.
A sigh of content escaping her as she finished pawing away the remains of feathers from her face, the red on blue feline turned her face skyward, eyes slowly drooping as the grogginess that came from a pleasant meal began to set in. Only her ears twitched in some level of cognizant alertness, pawsteps close by catching her attention. No. Not just close by. Approaching her. Probably some idiot that needed to get somewhere fast. Well, she was napping. If the cat was in that much of a hurry, they could always step to the side of her and that was that.
Closing her eyes completely as she ignored the approaching feline, Tinypaw stretched before settling in for a nap, barely taking note of how the pawsteps had paused. It wasn't until she felt the shade blocking away the sparse sunlight filtering in through the broken clouds that she frowned, refusing to open her eyes and acknowledge the lazy ass that seemed to assume she would be moving for them. They would probably get the message soon enough... Or so she thought. At least until she heard the telling signs of a cat sitting right besides her, coaxing her eyes open in evident rage, because how dare this shit head interrupt her when all they had to do was move the hell around her?!
"The hell is wrong with you, you mouse brain?! Can't you see you're blocking my- oh..."
Pale green eyes growing round, Tinypaw stared in horror as her gaze met the deputy's unimpressed glare, his expression making her feel like little more than a worm. Shit! This was bad! She'd heard from Ryepaw how the deputy had a propensity to make you work five times harder than you probably ever would if he thought you were slacking or generally being a detriment to the clan. Now... she hadn't been doing anything! And she would defend it! It's not her fault she had no mentor and therefore couldn't train! It's not like cats were lining up to offer training to apprentices in the first place!
Somehow, she got the feeling the deputy wouldn't be particularly interested in the details. Grayflame didn't seem the type to care for sensible facts in the face of what he deemed pointless. At least, judging by the look on his face. As quickly as she could - which was admittedly not very thanks to her heavy meal - the apprentice turned the right side up, remaining crouched and looking at the ground, not daring to stare the giant in the eye for much longer. Nervously, she gulped, ears flat on her skull before she dared speak again, the silence sparking the air around her with unbearable tension that she wished to disperse.
"He-hey! Big G! Sorry about that! Didn't see you there. What can I do for ya?" she asked, round eyes squarely studying her clenched paws as she spoke.
