Extra Stat Requests

1. Earning extra stats to be used with our dice system is optional. 

2. Characters may earn up to 3 stat points in each category by completing threads IC that go along with certain themes and/or criteria. These categories are:

• Strength: Adds +1 to a character’s Damage Roll
• Defense: Your character takes -1 damage from attacks
• Accuracy: Adds +1 to a character's Accuracy Roll, Tracking Roll, and Catching Roll.
• Vitality: Add +5 to a character’s total starting HP
• Foraging: Adds +1 to a character’s Foraging Roll

3. Roleplayers can choose certain stat categories to max depending on their goals for the character or they may choose to eventually max out all categories.

4. Stat points are used in addition with age modifiers when rolling dice using the code. For example, if you have a character with +2 in age and 2 redeemed strength stats you would roll with a total of +4 for your Damage Roll.

5. Warriors can redeem threads from their apprenticeship.

6. Warriors cannot redeem threads from training/mentoring apprentices.

7. Kit threads cannot be redeemed for stats at any point.

8. Threads and posts once used to redeem a stat cannot be used again to redeem another stat in the same or different category. Threads and posts used to redeem stats will be tracked on a spreadsheet in order to prevent double usage.

1. In order to redeem a stat point, a character must be at least 10 moons old and complete 2 private threads or 6 posts total from large threads from that fall into themes or criteria corresponding to the stat.

• A private thread must be at least 6 posts in length and wrapped up narratively in order to qualify for redemption. The dice must be used in at least 3 posts by the character in the thread.

• 1 completed private thread plus 3 posts from large threads that uses the dice and meets any of the below themes can also qualify for redeeming a stat.

2. Occasionally, stats can be earned through special prompts for events at a discounted requirement. Otherwise, each stat must be earned through completing threads based on the prompts below:

In order to earn a strength stat complete and turn in the above thread/post requirements with any of the following themes in mind: 

• Sparing or battle practice between characters, where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.
• Border skirmishes between characters, where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.
• Official battle threads between characters, where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.
• Any event threads against predators, where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.

In order to earn a defense stat complete and turn in the above thread/post requirements with any of the following themes in mind: 

• Any threads involving combat that would qualify for a strength stat can be instead used to redeem a defense stat, where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.
• Any threads where your character is reinforcing their camp or dens.

In order to earn a accuracy stat complete and turn in the above thread/post requirements with any of the following themes in mind: 

• Any threads involving combat that would qualify for a strength stat can be instead used to redeem an accuracy stat, where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.
• Hunting threads where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts and catches at least 1 or more prey.

In order to earn a vitality stat complete and turn in the above thread/post requirements with any of the following themes in mind: 

• Any threads where a character receives treatment from a medicine cat or medicine cat apprentice.
• Any threads where characters are purposefully having conversations about their faith, spirituality, or grieving lost loved ones.
• Any threads where characters are purposefully having conversations about their diet, mental, or health issues and come to a positive conclusion with self-improvement in mind.
• Herb collecting threads where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.

In order to earn a foraging stat complete and turn in the above thread/post requirements with any of the following themes in mind: 

• Herb collecting threads where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.
• Any threads where your character is out gathering something and uses the dice in at least 3 posts.
• Any foraging event threads where your character uses the dice in at least 3 posts.

1. Once a character has met a requirement for an extra stat the roleplayer must submit a reply to this thread using the form below.

2. Extra stats cannot be used in threads until the request is formally approved by a staff member replying to the thread.

• Earned stats will be tracked by a spreadsheet kept by staff, and total earned stats for a specific character will available on request if needed.

Fill out and post the form below as a reply to this thread once your character has completed requirements for a stat.

• When redeeming multiple stats in one reply please fill out a new form for each stat.
