HIGH RANK CHARACTER RULES
1. On WDS, we consider leaders, deputies, medicine cats, and medicine cat apprentices to be high rank characters. These characters are labeled as high rank characters due to them being expected to represent and influence their clan.
- They are also expected to assist staff in moving along the major plots of the clan/site.
2. All parts of the form + scenarios must be answered by the time of applications closing in order to be considered.
- Extra time to work on an application can be given by staff if it is requested ahead of the deadline closing.
3. Members can only have one high rank character at any point in time.
- Discord is also required in order to hold a high rank position.
4. Members with high-rank characters are required to post in-character at least 8 times per month, with 4 of the 8 required posts utilizing the high-rank character they play. Activity is tracked monthly in a hidden board on-site for high ranks only.
5. We accommodate communicated hiatuses. However, if a member develops a habit of uncommunicated inactivity, and misses monthly activity checks for consecutive months, they will lose the position.
- Staff will always try to work with members experiencing conflicts with real-life and in general we will try to help members keep their role. However, if activity is consistently affected for long durations of time staff may ask the member to release the position.
6. Members playing high rank characters are expected to be willing and capable of sending out patrols, helping manage clan-wide plots, and working with staff/fellow high ranks.
- Communication is important and is mainly how things run smoothly. Members that wish to play high rank characters must be effective at communicating out-of-character with other high ranks, staff, and other members.
7. HRs are expected to be helpful and approachable with clan-specific and even site-specific questions that members might ask.
8. In order to be consider for a high rank character, new members must have joined the site for at least 15 days. If the account is 15 days old at the time of applications closing, the member is free to apply for the position.
9. Applications will require members to pick one scenario from a list of scenarios that correspond with the desired rank.
- This must be an in-character roleplay sample that answers the prompt and showcases your character in the high rank position and you as a writer.
10. When applications are open and ongoing members may chat about applications and encourage others to apply! Have good sportsmanship during the application window and even once choices are announced!
- This mainly applies to out-of-character chatter within our Discord. But if you do not get a position you applied for keep applying as opportunities open up!
If there are any questions please reach out to either wren or doge ! We look forward to seeing these positions get filled! c:
OPEN HIGHRANK POSITIONS

SHOALCLAN DEPUTY APPLICATION FORM:
Member Name:
Character Name:
Age: (in moons.)
Scenario # Chosen: #1, #2, or #3
Scenario Response: (must be an in-character roleplay response with the character you are applying.)--- APPLICATIONS CLOSE MAY 28TH ---SHOALCLAN DEPUTY SCENARIOS
(Remember to put the correct scenario number in your form when applying.)
Scenario #1: You encounter EmberClan at the border, a few tail lengths onto your side a pair of their apprentices are toying around with a lizard they found. The EmberClan mentors seemed pleased the apprentices are on your territory. When you approach the mentors instantly get defensive about where the border lies. You know they’re on your side. Choosing between allowing them this small victory and backing off or risking a fight where apprentices from both sides are in harm's way is no easy feat.
Scenario #2: You are taking a stroll after a particularly long day, tensions are high between the clans and you and Fallowstar have worked yourselves to the bone trying to come up with solutions. Whilst thinking about this you hear leaves rustling nearby. You choose to investigate and discover a pair of warriors. One from ShoalClan, and one from EmberClan. They are grooming each other whispering sweet nothings in “secrecy”. You are confronted with the moral dilemma of interfering with the love both cats share or exposing the treachery by reporting it to Fallowstar.
Scenario #3: A sickness has been weakening ShoalClan lately, it’s incredibly contagious and has been rendering more and more warriors down and out. With the fear of it spreading beyond a manageable amount, Fallowstar has come to you asking for advice, with the ShoalClan leader coming to you of all cats you feel a great deal of pressure on your shoulders. How does your character handle the stress and what would they propose to help keep the plague at bay?
